Hikma insists it wanted to achieve a market share it could maintain for its first-to-market generic Vascepa (icosapent ethyl) product in the US, as it intimated a market share of between 10% and 12% around nine weeks after launch.

Meanwhile, the London-based firm has accused originator Amarin of “taking a second bite at the apple” with its recent lawsuit...
