Medtronic touts PulseSelect PFA as a “plug-and-play” system compatible any mapping system or fluoroscopy.

It can deliver a low-voltage phrenic nerve test pulse to assure the electrophysiologist that the ablation procedure will not damage the phrenic nerve, a common problem with other types of ablation.

PulseSelect PFA’s catheter has nine evenly spaced electrodes to provide a predictable and consistent electric field for contiguous ablation. The nine electrodes can also be used for pacing and sensing during the procedure.

The 9Fr catheter is bidirectional, easy-to-maneuver and compatible with a 10Fr sheath, including Medtronic’s custom bidirectional FlexCath Contour sheath.
