Bio Blast Pharma; Tel Aviv, Israel	Bio Blast grossed $35.2m from the sale of 3.2m shares at $11 each on 30 July. The IPO priced at the bottom of the $11 to $13 range (scripintelligence.com, 21 July 2014).	The orphan drug company's stock closed down 23.6% at $8.40 on 31 July.
ContraFect; Yonkers, New York	The preclinical company, which is developing protein and antibody therapies for infectious diseases, priced 6m units at $6 each to gross $36m on 29 July. Each unit includes a common stock share, a Class A warrant and a Class B warrant. An early price range was $5 to $6.	The stock traded as high as $7.87 in its first day, but closed just 7.5% above its IPO price at $6.45 per share.
Loxo Oncology; Stamford, Connecticut	Loxo grossed $68.4m from the sale of 5.3m shares at $13 each. The offering priced in the middle of the company's prior $12 to $14 range.	The stock traded as high as $13.42 per share, but ultimately closed flat on 1 August at $13.
Macrocure; Petach Tikva, Israel	The cell therapy developer grossed $53.5m from the sale of 5.35m shares priced at $10 each, which was well below the $13 to $15 range previously envisioned.	The stock's opening day high was $9, but it closed at $7.25 on 31 July – a 27.5% discount to the IPO price.
Marinus Pharmaceuticals; New Haven, Connecticut	Marinus, which develops neuropsychiatric therapies, priced 5.63m shares at $8 each – far below the $12 to $14 range envisioned a few weeks ago.
Vascular Biogenics; Or Yehuda, Israel	The small molecule and biologic developer grossed $64.8m from the sale of 5.4m shares at $12 each, which was slightly below the $13 to $15 range disclosed in mid-July.	At $10.25 on 31 July, Vascular Biogenics closed 14.6% below its IPO price.
