Consulting Sole Proprietorship
No legal entity formed, but all work will stop while Gottlieb is commissioner. Amounts owed will be fixed before assuming FDA duties. Gottlieb will be recused from matters that could have a direct and predictable effect on clients' ability or willingness to pay and will not participate in matters related to former clients for one year.
MedAvante
Gottlieb will resign his board of director’s position with the company and divest all company stock, stock options, and interests in the MedAvante Co-Invest Fund. He also will forfeit a contingent arrangement for payment as compensation for services provided to the company, unless received prior to assuming commissioner duties. If payment is received, Gottlieb will not participate in matters related to MedAvante for two years.
GlaxoSmithKline
Gottlieb will resign his Product Investment Board position, but will be paid through the period of his withdrawal. Until receiving amounts owed, he will not participate in matters involving the company's ability or willingness to pay him and for one year after resignation, will not participate in matters involving the company.
