Antibody Cocktail Now In India

On 24 May, Cipla announced the availability in India of the first batch of Roche/Regeneron’s injectable antibody cocktail comprising casirivimab and imdevimab, with the next batch expected to be available by mid-June. Together, these supplies are expected to benefit 200,000 patients, with each of the 100,000 packs to be available providing treatment for two patients.

Each patient dose (600mg of casirivimab and 600mg of imdevimab) has been priced at INR59,750 while the maximum retail price for a multi-dose pack (which can treat two patients) is INR119,500.

The vials are required to be stored at 2°C to 8°C; if opened for the first patient's dose, a vial can still be used for the next patient's dose within 48 hours if stored at 2°C to 8°C, the companies said.
