Resverlogix Corporation revealed on 3 June that it will employ life sciences services firm Eversana to direct the potential launch of apabetalone, a selective BET (bromodomain and extra-terminal) inhibitor, for COVID-19 therapy in the US, Canada and potentially other markets where it may be okayed for emergency use or approved. Apabetalone previously has advanced to Phase III in cardiovascular indications, compiling more than 4,200 treatment years of safety data, Calgary-based Resverlogix said, and has been approved for clinical study in COVID-19 in Canada.
