GSK Consumer Healthcare made “significant progress” in Q1 on its journey towards its planned de-merger from its parent company in July, business head Brian McNamara told analysts on the firm’s earnings call.

The long-term capital structure of the business had been secured, he explained, by raising bonds across a variety of maturities at “attractive rates,” with debt facilities also established.

The technology systems cut-over had also been completed, which McNamara described as a “significant milestone.”
